Thanks to donations from our Rescue Leashes x Flamingo collection, Le Woef Foundation can launch a sterilisation campaign worth €3,609. With this donation, as many as 144 dogs can be helped.
Every dog deserves a safe and loving home, yet for millions of stray dogs worldwide, that reality remains out of reach. With the Rescue Leashes x Flamingo collection, we are joining forces to bring about lasting change. For every harness or collar sold, we donate €1 to organisations dedicated to the rescue, shelter and care of stray dogs.
Rescue Leashes was created to offer products that are not only safe, comfortable and stylish, but also tell a meaningful story. The leashes and harnesses are designed to put adopted dogs in the spotlight and to spark conversations about adoption, both in shops and out on the streets.
This first donation makes it possible for Le Woef Foundation to sterilise or neuter around 144 dogs. Through these donations and collaborations with various charities, we contribute to a sustainable reduction in the number of stray dogs and help prevent future animal suffering. The total amount raised has already reached more than €8,800, and the figure continues to grow every day.
“One of the most important things we can do to prevent animal suffering is to sterilise and neuter dogs. Thanks to the sale of collars and harnesses, we have raised a significant amount that allows us to carry out 144 sterilisations. But even more importantly… it prevents countless unwanted litters from ever being born. Can you imagine how much animal suffering we can prevent together?”, says Le Woef.
Le Woef Foundation regularly travels to Romania and Spain to rescue dogs in need. With their ‘Happy Bus’, adopted dogs are given the opportunity each month to travel to a new home in the Netherlands. Thanks to the donation from the Rescue Leashes collection, the Le Woef Foundation can now not only rescue more dogs, but also help create a long-term solution to the stray dog problem.
“Sterilisation campaigns are not a temporary solution, but a sustainable way to tackle the problem at its root. There is still a long road ahead, but the first results are already clearly visible: fewer puppies on the streets, greater awareness in society, and less animal suffering,” says Le Woef.
